Calibre Residency @ XOYO, London – 17.08.19

A fantastic continuation of Dan’s return to form, captured at the front of the party where he belongs. Pure elation can be seen as the legend Calibre plays in the background, unperturbed by this photographer’s flash. Suffice to say a musical bomb had been dropped as Dan busts a congratulatory pose in front of an adoring crowd. Big up Dan

Good to have you back

Middleskool Volume III at Bar 512, 23/03/19

And we’re back!

Almost a year to the day of the last post we see an outstanding return to form for the one and only Dan At The Front. Yes friends, captured here following a period of self-imposed exile, Dan is seen in a state of familiar ecstasy at the front of the party, and what better way to return than the rarely-seen Open Flower position. Extending his raver limbs to the sky and absorbing all of the 1999-2009 Mid-Skool goodness as the beats rain down, we see the look of pure joy which encapsulates Dan’s face as he offers himself to the rave gods, while a familiar face busts the double Westside in the background.

He’s ticked all the boxes for what makes a truly powerful Dan At The Front:

A simply wonderful DATF in a hugely-anticipated comeback. Well done Dan, well done.

A massive thankyou to Apps Photography for the shot https://www.facebook.com/appsphotographyuk/.

Ampere Presents Calibre & LSB (hosted by DRS). Antwerp, Belgium

DATFIt’s been a while! Sadly, even though we’ve been at events, the DATF crew had to attend to some non-DATF business, boo. The important thing is that we’re back, hooray! What better way to kick things off than an international event featuring none other than the spiritual leader of DATF, Calibre, in Belgium no less. Here we see a jubilant Dan as he celebrates being Dan, At The Front, of a Calibre set. Marvellous.

An absolute classic DAT and a fine return to form. And we’re back.

InnerSoul 5th Birthday @ Fire, Vauxhall

img_9437Absolutely lovely DATF here from InnerSoul music’s 5th Birthday at the small but perfectly formed Fire in Vauxhall. This Dan has several great elements: as always Dan’s got himself a solid front placement next to the big metal barrier, and despite what looks like a pretty crowded venue there’s a great radius between him and other revellers. It’s clear to see that his range of movement has clearly come from the almost messiah-like posture Dan’s adopted; a bold but suitable move I’m sure you’ll agree. Notable in this DATF are party goers A wearing the red t-shirt and B toward the right. While A displays an unnervingly straight stare at the camera lens whilst an eerie shadow crosses his face, B appears to be either in a euphoric state of diagonal pleasure or sound asleep. What’s clear is that no-one’s having as much of a good time as Dan himself.

Here’s Dan at The Front once again in Sardinia

Here we see Dan toward the front and centre, classic. He’s got himself a sturdy drink which he holds firmly at the same time as appreciating some quality beats. Ever the exception to the rule, Dan’s seen bucking the trend by going for the deep-tilted head nod as opposed to the standard hands in the air exhibited by the majority. The Samurai Music T adds an air of class to an otherwise middle of the road venue. Well done Dan.
